St. Pleso is a popular mountain resort at the foot of Slovakian Tatras in the North of the country.

Situated at the altitude of 1346 metres asl, St. Pleso ensures long winter season, longer than in many other European destinations.

The place has already hosted Nordic World Championships in 1935 and 1972, Universiade of 1991, Junior World Championships in 1990, 2000 and recently in 2009, nine ski jumping World Cups, eleven Nordic combined World Cups, fifteen ski jumping Continental Cups and seven Nordic combined Continental Cups.

These days, St. Pleso can boasts of excellent cross country tracks, as well as an HS-100 normal hill.

The hill is covered with plastic, so suitable for summer jumping.

Vicinity of Zakopane (80 km) makes it an interesting break for those based on the Slovakian side of the Tatra mountains, or vice versa.
